2024 has been nothing short of transformative for Hum Capital. As we wrap up the year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year filled with growth, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to helping businesses access the tools and financing they need to thrive.
Leadership and Vision
This year brought exciting updates to our leadership team. These changes have set us up for long-term success as we embrace our dual role as users and providers of advanced financial technology. From deploying capital to growing businesses to leveraging our AI-powered fintech solutions, we’ve pushed boundaries and expanded what’s possible in our industry.
Deploying Capital, Delivering Results
2024 was a standout year for our Strategic Capital team. The team deployed $209 million to 13 new borrowers, facilitated 9 successful exits (including restructurings), and raised over $10 million, while extending our senior capital facility. With industry-leading private credit returns exceeding 20%, our team continues to build trust and deliver results.
Our portfolio also grew in diversity, covering 40 industries across 17 states. This nationwide reach reflects our dedication to supporting businesses, no matter where they’re located or what sector they’re in.
Capital Markets Team: Driving Impact
Our Capital Markets team had an incredible year, working on 25 deals and generating 34 term sheets with a combined value of $125.2 million in debt capital. They engaged with nearly 300 lenders, connecting businesses with the resources they need to succeed. Their hard work and expertise are at the heart of Hum’s mission to make accessing capital as seamless as possible.
Product Innovation at Its Finest
2024 was a big year for product development at Hum. Our R&D team rolled out mobile-responsive updates to our ICM platform and expanded connectivity with tools like Wave, Square, and Authorize.net. These updates are all about creating a better experience for our growing user base.
For our Investor users, we launched enhanced portfolio management tools and real-time alerts. These innovations are driving us toward a future where accessing capital is simple, intuitive, and built for the long haul.
Strong Financial Foundations
We made great strides on the financial front this year. By keeping a close eye on expenses, we exceeded our internal financial targets and successfully completed our first full financial audit with outstanding results—an important milestone as we continue scaling our business.
Looking Ahead to 2025
We’re proud of everything we’ve accomplished in 2024, and are keeping the momentum into the new year. In 2025, we’re preparing to raise and deploy hundreds of millions in capital, scale our marketplace to connect thousands of businesses with lenders, and continue rolling out technology that helps private credit businesses operate up to 5x more efficiently.
