Meet the team rewiring the fundraising process

Blair is the CEO and Co-Founder of Hum Capital. Before founding Hum, Blair was a principal investor at Draper Fisher Jurvetson where he sourced and managed venture investments for the firm focusing primarily on software-as-a-service and artificial intelligence. Blair graduated from Stanford University’s d.school where he studied product design. Blair is a native of Austin, TX and lives there with his family.

Csaba is the President and Co-Founder of Hum Capital. Csaba is an alternative investments expert who leads Hum’s investment team. Previously, Csaba founded Tiller, a venture firm where he was an early investor in Truecar, Scopely, Trax and Clutter. Born in Hungary, Csaba’s investing career has amassed a global network after living in Budapest, Moscow, Geneva, London, New York, Miami, and Singapore. He now lives in Los Angeles with his family.

Chris is the CTO and Co-Founder of Hum Capital. Before founding Hum, Chris was the founding engineer at ClassDojo, the world’s fastest ed-tech company now used by two thirds of U.S. schools across 190 countries worldwide. Chris earned his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Chipp is the Chief Operating Officer at Hum Capital. Previously, he ran the largest revenue business at Singularity Group, building a globally recognized education brand. He also brings corporate experience, having worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company, Synectics, and Lante, and having led the Onboard Revenue business at Royal Caribbean International. Chipp holds an MBA and MS in engineering from Stanford University, and a bachelor’s in business with concentrations in finance and Management Information Systems from Indiana University.

Priscilla Gordon is the VP of Human Resources at Hum Capital responsible for delivering strategic processes, policies, and programs for the support of employees. Before joining the Hum team, Priscilla was the VP of Human Resources at PAAMCO Prisma and Office Operations Administrator at KKR and Prisma Capital Partners. Priscilla is a graduate of Montclair State University with a BA in Political Science.

Kevin is the Chief Product Officer at Hum Capital. He has 20+ years of Product Management and Customer Success leadership in both B2C and B2B/Enterprise. Kevin’s career includes Google, Trilogy, and multiple startups, building products and driving innovation via best-fit technology, teams, tools, and processes.

CD (Chris Dolezalek) is the Executive Vice President of Research and Development at Hum Capital. Prior to joining Hum, CD was VP of engineering at Prosper Marketplace. Previously, CD was EVP of engineering at Twitch when it was acquired by Amazon and VP of engineering at BroadVision. CD holds a bachelor’s in Physics from the University of Virginia, and has completed his training with the Co-Active Training Institute as a coach.

John Slater is Head of Strategic Capital at Hum Capital. Prior to Hum, John was head of Credit at GPI Capital where he developed a private credit strategy focusing on growth debt. Previously, John ran the corporate credit team at Paulson & Co. Inc. and co-managed the Paulson Credit Opportunities Funds. John has an MBA from INSEAD, an MA and BA in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and is a CFA Charterholder.
The Origination team are often customers' first touchpoint with Hum. They are responsible for onboarding companies onto the ICM and ultimately helping them arrive at the best financing solution for their business.

Chris Reilly is VP of Sales at Hum Capital where he oversees the Origination Team. As the first dedicated GTM employee at Hum, Chris helps companies experience the most efficient fundraising process possible. Prior to Hum, Chris was one of the early Sales professionals at PitchBook Data helping grow ARR from ~$16M to $250M+. In his free time Chris enjoys BBQ, fitness, and time spent with family.

Andrew works as an Associate on the Origination team where he is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Hum Capital, he founded Pathlinx, a student-oriented networking startup. Before that, he worked as an Analyst at Pharus Advisors, a boutique technology-focused M&A firm. Andrew graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and Economics.

Austin works as an Associate on the Origination team where he is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Hum Capital, he led the growth efforts at ShopMy, a marketplace to connect digital creators and brands, and helped secure Seed and Series A funding. Austin graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience.

Sylvia Fernandes is an Account Executive at Hum Capital. Prior to Hum, she was a founding team member at multiple HR tech startups. She started her career working at leading Food and Beverage companies, including The Campbell Soup Company. Sylvia holds a bachelor of science degree from Texas A&M University and is currently an MBA candidate at St. Edward’s University.

Seth is an Associate on the Origination team where he is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Hum, he was a Research Manager on the Institutional Investors team at Guidepoint, a primary research and project management services firm. Seth graduated from UMass Amherst with a Bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics.

Ryan is a Vice President on Hum’s Origination team, consulting startups, scaleups, and lower-middle market companies towards the right structures of capital for their business. Prior to joining Hum, he founded an SMB lending marketplace which originated over $250M to small business owners. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, tennis, and adding new stamps to his passport.
Hum’s Capital Markets team serves as the connection between companies and investors on the ICM helping to facilitate successful investment partnerships.

Brad is a Managing Director at Hum Capital and leads the Capital Markets team. Previously, Brad led a variety of private capital markets engagements as Director for EA markets and as Vice President for SPP Capital Partners. He began his career at Goldman Sachs. Brad earned an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BA from Hamilton College. He lives in Rumson, NJ with his wife and two children.

Sam is a Managing Director at Hum and is responsible for originating and syndicating opportunistic credit and structured capital investments including sponsored and non-sponsored transactions. Prior to Hum, Sam was a MD at PA Capital (Apogem/New York Life) where he co-managed a portfolio of special situations investments. Sam was also Principal at MidOcean Credit Partners where he invested across the capital structure. Sam holds a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University.
Our Strategic Capital team manages and deploys 3rd party capital into great companies via the ICM.

Becca Connolly is a Managing Director and Chief of Staff for Strategic Capital at Hum. She helped establish Hum’s Broker Dealer and operationalized the Strategic Capital business. Prior to Hum, Becca spent 16 years at Morgan Stanley on the Institutional Equity sales and trading desk. Becca holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with a concentration in international studies from Boston College.

Michael is an analyst on Hum’s Strategic Capital team where he provides creative and efficient financing solutions for growth companies. Prior to joining Hum, he had a wide range of lending experience as a credit analyst at both small data driven lenders as well as larger banking institutions. Outside of his work at Hum, Michael enjoys watching New York sports with his two cats.

Working cross-functionally across the CEO Office, Strategic Capital, and Product teams, Brian manages and supports the long-term strategic goals and new product initiatives of the business. Prior to Hum, Brian served as a restructuring advisor to Fortune 500 companies and middle-market companies in the TMT and Healthcare space, having worked at Ankura Consulting Group and PJT Partners.

Spencer is a member of the Strategic Capital team, working to introduce onboarded companies to Hum’s network of institutional lenders. Prior to Hum, he worked as a high yield analyst at Barings, investing in both new issue and secondary opportunities until he joined a high-growth, early-stage DTC startup where his focus was on fundraising and demand modeling. Spencer holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Vanderbilt University.
