Veza Digital is a Premium Certified Enterprise Webflow Partner building high-performance websites and AI-optimized digital infrastructure for B2B SaaS and enterprise technology companies.
Stefan Katanic is Veza Digital’s Founder & CEO. In this Client Spotlight Q&A, Katanic discusses Veza’s evolution from a bootstrapped solo operation into a global agency network, and why the convergence of AI-driven search and B2B web presence represents one of the most significant opportunities in digital marketing today.
Q1: Can you provide a brief overview of Veza Digital and the company’s mission?
Veza Digital is a Premium Certified Enterprise Webflow Partner that builds high-performance websites for B2B SaaS and enterprise technology companies. We founded the company in 2019 with a clear thesis: B2B companies deserve the same caliber of web experience that consumer brands take for granted, and Webflow is the platform to deliver it at speed and scale.
Today, Veza operates as the flagship agency within the Veza Agency Network (VAN), a tech-enabled platform company that acquires and integrates B2B digital agencies under a shared operating system we call VEZA OS. Our mission is to become the definitive infrastructure layer for B2B web presence, spanning design and development through SEO, AI-driven search visibility, and conversion optimization. We have launched over 1,000 websites, maintain a 4.9 out of 5 rating on Clutch across 44+ reviews, and serve clients including EzCater, Grata, Orbcomm, and Attentive from offices in New York, Toronto, and Dubai.
Q2: How has Veza grown from its early days into the global agency it is today, and what have been the key milestones along the way?
Veza has been bootstrapped and profitable from day one. The timeline tells the story:
In 2019, I founded Veza Digital as a solo operator after exiting a company called Traden Group. Our first client was Connect Asset Management, and we built the entire business on referrals and execution quality. Zero outside capital, zero paid acquisition.
By 2021, we had earned Webflow Enterprise Partner status, which put us in a small group of agencies globally with that certification. That credentialed us for enterprise-grade projects and opened access to Webflow’s direct referral pipeline.
Between 2022 and 2024, we scaled the team to 80+ people across New York, Toronto, Belgrade and Dubai, crossed 1,000 websites launched, and completed the acquisition of Shadow Digital, our first M&A transaction, which became the proof of concept for the VAN platform model.
In 2025, we formalized VAN as the go to market agency and launched WAIO, our proprietary Website AI Optimization framework, which represents the next phase of the business: helping B2B companies win visibility not just in traditional search engines but in AI-powered answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and many others.
Q3: AI is reshaping the digital landscape rapidly. How do you see it disrupting Webflow design and development, SEO, and demand generation, and how is Veza responding?
AI is compressing the entire value chain of digital marketing, and we see three disruptions happening simultaneously.
First, in Webflow design and development, AI is eliminating commodity production work. Template generation, basic layout, and even initial design concepts are being automated. What remains high-value is systems architecture, brand-level design thinking, and the integration of structured data that makes websites legible to both humans and machines. That is where Veza operates.
Second, in SEO, the shift from search engine optimization to answer engine optimization is the most significant change since Google introduced mobile-first indexing. Traditional SEO optimized for blue links. AEO optimizes for citation by large language models. The companies that understand how LLMs retrieve, evaluate, and cite web content will own the next decade of organic visibility. The companies that do not will watch their traffic erode as zero-click AI answers replace traditional search results.
Third, in demand generation, AI is changing how buyers research vendors. B2B buyers increasingly ask AI assistants to shortlist solutions rather than scrolling through Google results. If your company is not structured to appear in those AI-generated recommendations, you are invisible to a growing segment of your market.
Veza’s response is WAIO: Website AI Optimization. WAIO is a proprietary framework we developed to address all three disruptions in a single methodology. It encompasses five service lines: Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), AI Search Visibility Audits, AI Content Strategy, Conversational Interface Design, and AI-Powered CRO. The framework ensures that a B2B company’s website is not only well-designed and high-converting but structurally optimized to be cited by AI systems as an authoritative source.
Q4: Why is Veza Digital uniquely positioned to lead through this shift? What makes you a pioneer in the Webflow and B2B marketing space?
Three things separate Veza Digital from every other agency in this space.
First, depth of platform expertise. We are one of a small number of Premium Certified Enterprise Webflow Partners globally. We have launched over 1,000 Webflow sites for B2B companies, which means we have pattern-matched across hundreds of industries, buyer journeys, and conversion architectures. That volume of reps on a single platform creates compounding institutional knowledge that generalist agencies cannot replicate.
Second, WAIO is a proprietary competitive advantage. We did not bolt AI services onto an existing agency model as an afterthought. We built WAIO from the ground up as a framework specifically designed for B2B companies that need to win visibility in AI-driven search environments. WAIO was architected by Sasa Kuridza, our WAIO Architect, and represents thousands of hours of R&D into how large language models crawl, index, evaluate, and cite web content. No other Webflow agency has an equivalent methodology.
Third, the VAN platform model gives us structural leverage. Through the Veza Agency Network, we acquire and integrate specialized B2B agencies under a shared operating system called VEZA OS, which standardizes delivery, cross-sells services across the portfolio, and creates margin expansion through shared infrastructure. This means Veza is not just an agency competing for projects. It is a platform company building compounding value through M&A, proprietary technology, and operational integration.
Q5: Veza has been bootstrapped since 2019. That’s a meaningful track record of self-sufficiency. What made now the right time to raise outside capital, and what do you plan to do with it?
We never needed outside capital to build a profitable, growing agency. We needed it to execute on a platform-level ambition that organic cash flow alone cannot fund at the speed the market demands.
The timing comes down to two converging factors. First, the M&A opportunity in the B2B agency space is time-sensitive. There are hundreds of high-quality agencies that are founder-operated, profitable, and looking for succession paths. The window to acquire these businesses at reasonable multiples will not stay open forever as private equity firms and larger holding companies move downstream. VAN is positioned to execute multiple acquisitions targeting agencies with strong US client bases and high recurring revenue.
Second, WAIO represents a productized service opportunity that scales beyond traditional agency economics. Capital allows us to accelerate WAIO’s go-to-market, build the tooling layer within VEZA OS, and establish Veza as the category-defining brand in AI-optimized web presence for B2B companies before the market matures.
Q6: How did you discover Hum Capital, and what has your experience been like working with Hum’s team and raising capital via the Intelligent Marketplace?
We discovered Hum Capital through our advisory network while evaluating financing options for VAN’s acquisition strategy. What drew us in was Hum’s model: an Intelligent Marketplace that matches companies to the right capital sources based on actual business data, not just warm introductions. For a bootstrapped founder like me, that was compelling. Traditional fundraising relies on who you know. Hum’s platform relies on what your numbers say.
The experience has been strong. Hum’s team understood our business model immediately: a profitable, bootstrapped agency using M&A to build a platform company with recurring revenue characteristics. They did not try to force us into a venture capital narrative we do not fit. Instead, they helped us identify the right capital structure for what we are actually building, which is a lending facility that matches our cash flow profile and acquisition timeline. The process was efficient, data-driven, and respectful of the fact that we have been running this business profitably for seven years without needing to give away equity.
Q7: Veza was built from the ground up without outside investors. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a fellow founder thinking about bootstrapping a services business?
Sell before you build. Every founder I know who failed at bootstrapping a services business made the same mistake: they built capability, hired talent, and then went looking for clients to fill the capacity. That is how you burn cash and lose confidence. The founders who succeed sell the work first, then figure out how to deliver it. Your first ten clients do not care about your website, your brand, or your team page. They care about whether you can solve their problem and whether they trust you to do it.
The second thing I would say is to resist the urge to diversify too early. Veza was a Webflow agency for B2B companies. That was it. We did not chase every CMS, every vertical, or every adjacent service line. That focus is what made us referable, what earned us Enterprise Partner status, and what eventually gave us the credibility to expand into AI services and M&A. Specificity is the most underrated growth strategy in services.
