WeKan Enterprise Solutions has partnered with Hum Capital on a $2.5 million facility to support the operational ramp-up required ahead of new contract deployments. The structure was sized and termed to let the company invest the capital into growth rather than simply cover a short-term gap.

The Challenge

In enterprise services, the cost of delivery arrives well before the revenue does.

Engineers have to be hired, onboarded, and ready before a deployment starts. Enterprise clients pay on enterprise terms. The gap between staffing up and getting paid is entirely predictable, and it’s precisely the gap that most short-term financing is badly suited to close. A facility that’s too small forces a company to under-hire against contracts it has already won. A facility with too short a tenor turns a growth investment into a repayment problem before the contracts it funded have had time to season.

WeKan needed capital sized to the ramp and aligned to its payback period.

Hum structured a facility large enough to fund the ramp in full and with a tenor long enough for the company to actually deploy it into growth — hiring and building capacity ahead of new deployments, with room to let those contracts mature before the capital had to be returned.
